Sophos Your Partner in Cyber Security

  |   Company News   |   No comment

Despite constant technology enhancements and heavy financial investment, the reality is that cyber security is a growing concern in business. Indeed, 87% of IT managers agree that malware threats have become more complex over the last year, and businesses lose an average of seven working days a month identifying and fixing infected computers.

To understand the root cause of these issues, we first need to look at the threats we’re trying to stop. Cybercriminals don’t use single techniques and technologies in their attacks. Instead, they use multiple techniques in connected, coordinated assaults.

Sophos has applied advanced deep learning neural network technology to the cybersecurity challenge. A neural network much like the human brain, adapting and growing to recognise and block malware.  Deep learning has been proven to deliver better detection, fewer false positives and has less of an impact on system resources.

Arch Retail has joined forces with Sophos and now is an accredited Sophos Managed Service Provider. We bring a solution, highly rated in its field and one that would safe guard you and your business against Ransomware, Cryptojacking and Exploit Protection. Explanatory notes:

We understand this is unknown territory to all of us and therefore thought it to be a good idea to explain some of the terminology in the article above:

Deep learning – Deep learning is a subset of machine learning in Artificial Intelligence (AI) that has networks capable of learning unsupervised from data that is unstructured or unlabeled.  Intercept X uses a deep learning neural network that works much like the human brain.  Also known as Deep Neural Learning or Deep Neural Network.

Malware.  Malware, or “malicious software,” is a term that refers to any malicious program or code that is harmful to systems.

False positives – a test result which wrongly indicates that a particular condition or attribute is present.

Ransomware, is a type of malicious software that threatens to publish the victim’s data or perpetually block access to it, unless a ransom is paid.
